Final Written Arguments Filed in Pine Mountain Appeal

Our legal team filed our final brief in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals against the Pine Mountain logging and vegetation clearing project. In our briefs, we argue that the U.S. Forest Service’s approval of the project violates the National Environmental Policy Act, the Healthy Forests Restoration Act, and the Roadless Area Conservation Rule.

Thank you to our attorneys at Environmental Defense Center and Center For Biological Diversity for their stellar work on this case, and to co-plaintiffs Keep Sespe Wild, The American Alpine Club, Patagonia, The John Muir Project and California Chaparral Institute for standing together to Protect Pine Mountain.
